Nivada Grenchen
Nivada Grenchen, a Swiss watch brand founded in 1926 in Grenchen, boasts a rich history. Its reputation quickly grew for crafting reliable and enduring timepieces, especially tool watches. Remarkably, Nivada Grenchen pioneered automatic watch production just four years after its inception.
Over the years, the brand has maintained its reputation as a trusted name among watch enthusiasts. Known for its high-quality and innovative designs, Nivada Grenchen has consistently delivered timepieces that stand the test of time. Its commitment to precision and durability has cemented its position as a leader in the watch industry.
In 2018, Guillaume Laidet and Rémi Chabrat revitalised Nivada Grenchen. They achieved this by faithfully reissuing classic designs, incorporating modern manufacturing techniques.
The first releases focused on some of the brand’s most iconic models: Chronomaster, Antarctic, and Depthmaster. These reissues quickly gained popularity among collectors and enthusiasts, helping Nivada Grenchen reclaim its place in the vintage-inspired watch world. Social media played a crucial role in this comeback, amplifying the relaunch and introducing the brand to a new generation of watch fans.
